Susan Peirce, a partner with Spencer/Shenk/Capers & Associates, Inc., joined the firm in 1992 after successfully consulting for ten years to healthcare, manufacturing and service organizations. Susan is a tenured leader with senior line experience.
Prior to joining Spencer/Shenk/Capers, Susan held the key leadership role for Organization Development at IOLAB, a Johnson & Johnson Company. During Susan’s tenure, she successfully led total quality management implementation for Johnson & Johnson’s Flagship Quality Company. Susan is a highly skilled Business Consultant and Organization Development practitioner. She has expertise in competency research and design, large scale culture change efforts, merger and acquisition planning and integration, and Executive Effectiveness Coaching. Susan takes a unique approach to working with her client systems, blending a common sense business approach with a solid grounding in the behavioral sciences.
Susan has cutting edge experience in all aspects of Organization Development. She spent several years at Collins Foods, Inc., practicing in an extremely progressive environment as a primary assessor in Assessment Centers and applying a systemic approach to climate improvement with measurable results in climate and organizational performance.
Ms. Peirce’s varied client list including over 30 years of restaurant experience, represents her ability to easily transition from very technical research organizational firms, law firms and healthcare to publishing houses. Her diverse consulting practice is comprised of large scale systemic change efforts, merger and acquisition integration, profitability turnarounds and senior level coaching. Susan’s direct style and results orientation in assisting her clients with clarity alignment, commitment and integration through the board room and senior management has directly impacted organizational results. Ms. Peirce is the founder and president of Red Bucket Equine Rescue where she has successfully applied her business and leadership competency in creating one of the most successful startup non-profit horse rescues in the nation. Under Ms. Peirce’s leadership, Red Bucket is considered to be part of the top one percent of equine rescues and sanctuaries in the world. Susan served as Technical Director on the 2016 Sony Pictures movie Emma’s Chance, a feature length movie which was inspired by the lifesaving work of Red Bucket. The movie was translated into over 25 languages and distributed worldwide.
